The JMMC/MBMC will be hosting sprint 1 of the 2011 series on Sunday February 20, 2011. The event will be held at Ironshore in Montego Bay, St. James Jamaica. Starting at 10AM.

On Sunday Feb. 27th 2011 Spot Valley Raceway will host “Clash of The Titans”. The event is a high speed motorsports sprint event, which will take place in Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica.

The Jamaica Karting Association will host it’s first race meet for 2011 on Sunday February 13, 2011. The event will feature go-kart racing, motor bikes, stunt bikes and quads! It is poised to be a fun day for the whole family. Admission is $1000 for adults and $300 for kids.

RaceJamaica.com in association with Turbo Energy Drink invites you to participate in our second navigational rally for 2010. The event will start at Scotchie’s on 2 Chelsea Ave, registration opens at 9:00AM and the event will start at 10:00. We will also have our grand finish at Scotchie’s on 2 Chelsea Ave.

A Navigational rally is held on public roads. Speeding is strictly prohibited and speed limits are to be adhered throughout the event. Each team (driver and co-driver also possibly time keeper) will receive route instructions. There will be marshals to enforce that the proper routes are used and also questions to be answered etc as part of the course.

The event is family oriented and is guaranteed good fun.

General Information

1. Equipment
   Participants will require
   The Shell Map of Jamaica – which will be on sale.
   A digital clock – competitors must provide their own
   NB. A Rally computer will NOT be required
2. Odometer Check
   A check of 5.7km is the circuit – Start at Cuthbert’s Fitness Studio travel east along Waterloo Rd towards Hope Rd. Turn left at lights unto Hope Rd. Travel to the four road intersection and turn right on Lady Musgrave Rd. Continue on Lady Musgrave to the T junction and turn right on Trafalgar Rd. Go straight thru all the lights to the four road intersection and cross unto Waterloo Rd. Finish at Terra Nova Hotel entrance.
3. Rally Distance
   The rally will be between 110km and 130km long.

Insurance and Indemnities

1. The promoters decline liability in any accident caused by or to participants and participating vehicles during the event.
2. The promoters also decline liability for any breach of the law by participant
3. Participants shall be held entirely responsible for any accident or breach of the statutory laws in which they may be involved. They must also indemnify the promoters from any liability that may arise.
4. No entrant or participant shall make claim against the promoters or any sponsors of this event arising out of any action of the promoters, their servants or officials during the course of the rally.

Jagstrip Motorsport Park in Cooks Gate, Clarendon (near Vernamfield), is the place to be on Sunday, August 23 for the hottest motorsports action of the summer, when the Caribbean’s largest tyre retailer, Tyre Warehouse, partners with “Mr. Entertainment” Marcus Barnes, to stage “Summer Burnout ‘09”, an exciting motorsports exhibition featuring a drifting exhibition with the likes of the Mandeville crew, Team Pit Bull and the Nizzpro crew, a bike stunt show, radio controlled cars and burnout contest.

Mandeville drivers have traditionally led the way in sideways “shunting” action with their powerful rear wheel drive cars, with the likes of Alan Chen, Jeremy Groves, Chris Freeman and Barnes himself being the leaders in this area. Fans are sure to enjoy high speed drifting, rather than the spinning in circles that has become commonplace at recent, sub-standard shows that have tried to copy the original flavor and excitement that true drifting brings to the motorsports arena.

Gates open at 10 am and admission is Ja$1,000.00.

A mug rally is a navigational rally held on public roads. Speeding is strictly prohibited and speed limits are to be adhered throughout the event. There will be marshals to enforce that the proper routes are used and also questions to be answered etc as part of the course.

The event is family oriented and is guaranteed good fun.
To ensure everyone is familiar with navigational notes etc. we will also have a training session on Saturday July 4, 2009, beginning at 10:30 AM, at Curphey place in Kingston. it is strongly recommended that all prospective participants attend.

RaceJamaica.com will host a free training session on Saturday July 4, 2009 at Curphey Place in Kingston. Participants will learn the art of reading tulips, straight line diagrams, and abbreviated text. All of these types of navigational notes will help equip you to effectively take part in the wonderful sport of navigational rallies. Participants will need a red Shell map of Jamaica, a few of which will be on sale. This event will also be the final training event before Mug Rally #2 on July 19, 2009.
